Ilazki, Light of the Dead
Ilazki is the moon goddess of the ancient Basques. Her name means 'light of the dead' as she shines in the dark for the souls of the dead. To die when the moon was close to the first quarter was considered a good omen for the after-life because the soul of the departed would grow with the orb.
