Plutus Rising

Plutus (a.k.a. Pluto in Roman mythology) was considered by the Romans as the giver of gold, silver and other subterranean gifts.  These mined gifts lead to Plutus becoming recognised as the god of the physical underworld.  The genesis of these gifts is depicted here in this work.
